READING THE AKASHIC RECORDS FOR SOUL ALIGNMENT AND HEALING

akashic records

The Akashic Records are a non-physical repository of every feeling, intent, thought, deed, and word of every living entity from the past, present, and future. Whether or not you have an awareness of these Records, they are an integral part of your Soul and your life — and the Soul and life of all others.

Acquiring the ability to read the Akashic Records can have a positive influence on your beliefs, relationships, feelings, and daily life. When you access the Records you unlock information about your Soul’s nature, purpose, and gifts.

What Are the Akashic Records?

In simplest terms, the Akashic Records are a repository, or compendium, of every deed, word, intent, feeling, and thought (good or bad) of every living entity (human or not, good or bad) from the past, present, and future.

The Akashic Records aren’t a physical library of books, though it can be helpful to think of them as a library of infinite size. The Records aren’t a database of data accessible over the internet, though here too it can be useful to think of them as an infinitely sized database on an internet accessible from anywhere in the world.

Akasha is a Sanskrit word that holds meaning in religions which consider Sanskrit as their holy language — religions including Buddhism and Hinduism. These religions aren’t in total agreement on the exact nature and meaning of Akasha, but in general they view Akasha as a place from which all reality emerges. The Akasha could be considered another dimension — a dimension, or non-physical plane of existence, higher than the one we humans inhabit.

The word Akashic (pronounced ah-cash-ik) means pertaining to, or of, the Akasha. The Akashic Records are then the infinite records of all information, stored in the infinite Akasha. As a higher dimension, our human, earthly ideas of time don’t directly apply. In the Akasha, time can be viewed as more of a flat circle than a linear timeline, which means that information information from 1,000 years ago may be accessible as information from yesterday, tomorrow, or a 1,000 years from now. Of importance to you is that this means that what happened in your life 10 years ago is accessible, as is what may happen to you 10 years from now.

The Akashic Records aren’t merely static information like the words in a book. Instead, the Records are a subtle, but integral, part of life and existence itself — regardless of our awareness, or lack of awareness, of them. They are interactive in the sense that by gaining the ability to read the Records they can have an influence on our feelings, relationships, beliefs, and daily lives. And because the Records hold the history of every Soul who ever lived, they form a connection, or bond, of every person to every other person.

History of Akasha and the Akashic Records

Akasha is known to be a translation of the Sanskrit word Akasa, but its exact origin and original meaning aren’t entirely clear. Akasa may be used in the context of the sky, atmosphere, or space, but it can have other meanings depending on the context in which it’s used.

Akasha and Theosophy

In the 1870s the Russian philosopher and author Helena Blavatsky immigrated to the United States and shortly thereafter co-founded the Theosophical Society to advance the ideas of her non-sectarian theosophy spiritual movement. Blavatsky viewed theosophy, which incorporated philosophical tenets from multiple Eastern religions, as a life force of sorts. Theosophy was based partly on the idea of recordings of human action and thought, past and present, which she summarized as “indestructible tablets of the astral light.

Blavatsky used the term akasha, but not the term akashic. Shortly after her death in 1891, fellow Theosophist Alfred Sinnet coined the term Akashic Records to describe Blavatsky’s notion of the infinite recordings of humanity.

Akasha and Anthroposophy

Rudolf Steiner was Austrian philosopher and theosophist who split from that group in 1912 to form a new spiritual movement — anthroposophy — and group — the Anthroposophical Society. Though he departed from the Theosophical Society, he maintained an interest in theosophy, and anthroposophy shares many of same notions — including the Akashic Records (which he also referred to as The Book of Life).

Steiner stressed the relationship of the Akashic Records to early Buddhism, where Buddha taught that two things are eternal: Nirvana and Akasa. Nirvana is the ultimate spiritual goal. Akasa is that which everything comes out of (“no thing ever comes out of nothing”), and Sanskrit from which the word Akasha is derived.

Steiner believed that these early Buddhist teachings clearly indicated a permanency of records in the Akasa, and that there was the potential for people to access — to read — these records. In fact, Steiner himself believed he could read the Akashic Records, and that he was privy to much universal cosmic wisdom.

Science and the Akashic Records

As with any spiritual movement, the concept of the Akashic Records has it’s share of skeptics. Many people will quickly write off any non-traditional religion as a “bunch of mumbo-jumbo,” or fraudulent nonsense. In the case of the Akashic Records, the skeptics would be best served by doing some serious research. In doing that, they would find that there is actually science that backs up the idea of a universal “recording of everything.”

Quantum Mechanics and Vacuum Energy

Quantum mechanics is the science dealing with the behavior of light and matter on the atomic and subatomic scale. Quantum mechanics is all about trying to determine and describe the properties of molecules, the atoms that make up molecules, and the electrons, protons, and neutrons that make up atoms.

Classical mechanics states that when absolute zero — the coldest possible temperature — is reached, all motion stops and molecules come to rest. Quantum mechanics, though, has determined that a molecule can never come completely to rest. Quantum mechanics calls this zero-point energy, or ZPE — the vibrational energy molecules hold even at absolute zero.

In addition to molecules and atoms, the empty space of a vacuum has this zero-point energy. And the vast majority of the universe consists of empty space — it’s a vacuum. This infinite, seemingly nothingness actually has virtually unlimited “vacuum energy.”

Quantum Mechanics Leads to the Akashic Records

How does quantum mechanics, ZPE, and the vacuum energy of space have any bearing on the Akashic Records? The quantum vacuum seems to be a transporter of light, sound, pressure, and energy. Ervin Laszlo, an 88 year old (as of this writing) Hungarian philosopher, systems theorist, author of over 80 books, and two-time nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize believes that zero-point energy also conveys information — similar to how magnetic impulses do on a computer hard drive.

Laszlo theorizes that the sub-atomic particles of energy carry and hold all information — information of everything we know, everything that exists and has existed, everything that has happened and will happen. The ZPE is a universal information field that serves as an enduring memory of the universe. Sound familiar? It should — the ZPE field essentially describes the Akashic Records. The similarities are so complete that Laszlo gave the ZPE field the name Akashic Field.

Quantum mechanics, ZPE, and vacuum energy are all pretty heady stuff — the details aren’t for the faint of heart. Nonetheless, just realizing that this subject that is the purest of science, with no relation to theology or spirituality, theorizes that there may very well exist such a thing as a universal information field, makes a good counter argument to skeptics who believe the Akashic Records are simply nonsense with no grounding in reality.

Using the Akashic Records

The Akashic Records are encoded, or impressed into energy, and are continually being rewritten based on our emotions, thoughts, and choices. That is, the Records are essentially written by each of us, unknowingly and unwittingly, by our free will and the choices we make in the present. That means our present-moment choices affect our future potentials and possibilities.

When you accurately access the Records you can unlock information about the Soul’s gifts, purpose, and nature, and the trip to spiritual evolution. This applies not only to yourself, but also to friends, loved ones, and even for paying clients should you choose to become a reader on behalf of others.

Who Can Read the Akashic Records?

Anyone can learn to read, or access, the Akashic Records. A person doesn’t need to have psychic abilities, be a follower of any particular religion or belief system, or have any special spiritual insights, powers, or knowledge. While no one is forbidden from accessing the Records of their Soul history, reading them will be easier and more rewarding if a few guidelines, or principles, are kept in mind.

  • You should retain an open mind regarding the concept of the Akashic Records, and believe in what you are doing. Not having a complete understanding of Akasha and the Akashic Records is understandable, but skepticism of the existence of the Records quite naturally makes it difficult to reach the Records.
  • Treat the process seriously by being present and aware. Use whatever meditation techniques you’re comfortable with to enter a relaxed, safe, meditative state.
  • Be prepared to view your Records in a non-judgmental way, and understand that your Records are related to your Soul journey and not about specific predictions of your future.

How to Read the Akashic Records

It’s important to take seriously your accessing of the Akashic Records, so begin by selecting a quiet place you’re familiar with and where you know you will not be disturbed or distracted.

Aimlessly traversing the Records with no particular goal is usually a fruitless endeavor. Instead, think about the specific information you’ll be seeking. You’ll probably find it helpful to write down one or more questions ahead of your reading so that you’ll be focused and confident.

Next, close your eyes and allow yourself to enter a meditative state. The meditation technique you use is unimportant — use whatever meditation practice you’re comfortable with.

Some people spontaneously connect to the Records, while others find it helpful to begin with a Pathway Prayer (also referred to as an Access Prayer or Opening Prayer). There is no one, exact Pathway Prayer that must be used. Rather, it should be along the lines of the following, spoken out loud once and repeated silently twice:

I ask the Guardians of the Akashic Records to allow me to open my Records and access any information that I am allowed.

Visualize being in a room bathed in warm, white light, with a doorway just in front of you. Slowly walk to the door and gently open it.

As the door opens you may be met by a being, spirit, or angel who will assist you in accessing your Record. The form the guide takes varies from person to person. The guide will need identifying information about you so the proper Records can be accessed. The guide may ask you for this information, or you may need to offer this information — your birth name, location, and date, and your current name — to the guide yourself.

You’ll present your question to the guide, and the guide will present you with a reply or direct you to a location where the answer resides. The form in which the answer is given varies, and is usually dependent on how you best acquire knowledge. You may be given an open book where information materializes on a page, in 2D or 3D pictures or symbols, or writing. Or you may hear a disembodied voice giving you information. Or you may be directed to a seat to view a movie or projection.

After receiving the information you should thank your guide and slowly exit through the door you previously entered. You can now bring yourself out of your relaxed, meditative state. Most people find it helpful to write down whatever information was received to make it easy to refer back to as needed.

Soul Realignment® is a powerful, multidimensional healing modality that helps you unlock your Soul-level potential to allow you to create the life of your choosing, in both real and practical ways. The lessons presented in the Soul Realignment® course are both in agreement and harmony with Universal Law and deeply satisfying to our thinking, logical minds.
